The Kick-off meeting (KoM) took place from 21-24th September 2020, together with the State-of-the-art (SOTA) Meeting in virtual format
The start of ECC-SMART
The Project Consortium was originally scheduled to meet in Vancouver (Canada) in September 2020 to officially kick-off the Project. The impact of the pandemic made us switch to an on-line gathering of several days (we had to match the timeframe of three continents!) starting 21/09/2020 until 24/09/2020. The kick-off meeting reviewed the projects objectives together with the structure of the Work Packages and associated milestones to plan the main stages of work throughout the 4 years of Project duration. The EC, which provides funding for this Project, was also present at the start of the KoM, outlining their expectations.
Additionally the state-of-the-art meeting took place during these days where the main inputs, options and technical challenges were addressed to discuss the way forward.
